On December 29, 2010, Endo Pharmaceuticals Holdings Inc. (“Endo” or the “Company”) received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) approval for FORTESTATM Gel (“Fortesta”), for the treatment of low testosterone, or ‘Low T,’ also known as hypogonadism. Fortesta is the first approved testosterone replacement therapy gel with application to the front and inner thighs. The Company expects to introduce Fortesta in the United States in early 2011.
On December 29, 2010, the Registrant announced the receipt of this FDA approval, and a copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
