IAB Invite Nominations For Their Prestigious Awards

PR Log - Feb 26, 2013 - There are four separate categories in which members are able to nominate, including ‘IAB Accountant of the Year’, which will recognise an accountant or firm of accountants that have assisted an IAB member in practice. IAB members must make nominations for this category.

‘IAB Payroll Professional of the Year’ will be given to an IAB member who has shown exceptional payroll services to clients or employers. A client or employer of an IAB member must make this nomination.  

‘IAB Small Business Mentor of the Year’ is awarded to an individual who has made an exceptional contribution as a volunteer business mentor from the past year. The person can be nominated by their mentee, colleague or professional that recognises their contribution.

The 40th anniversary will be celebrated with a number of events, on June 20th there will be a President’s Reception at the House of Commons, this event recognises and celebrates the achievements of Top IAB Centres. In addition to this there will be the Top International Centres joining with other invited guests.

There will be a conference held the following day at St Ermins Hotel, London which is open to members and non-members, with top speakers discussing topical issues.

Finally the Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony will be held in the evening where the winners will be announced, it will be held at One Great George Street. The event will be open to members and non-members with tickets going on sale shortly.

The International Association of Book-keepers is a membership body for anyone looking for a career in accounting, payroll or financial administration.  The IAB offer accredited qualifications with courses offered by colleges in the UK and over the world.

The IAB has taken the lead role in developing bookkeeping units for the new Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, working with the FSP and other awarding bodies. They have also worked closely with the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP) in developing QCF payroll units.
