COMIC BOOK MEN SEASON 3 to Premiere Sunday 10/13 on AMC Midnight/11c

Following the highly anticipated Season 4 premiere of Walking Dead 9/8c, and Talking Dead 10/9c on AMC, is the return of Kevin Smith's outside of the box and creative show, Comic Book Men.

Men love to shoot the shit. And funny men shoot the shit better than the rest of them. Enter Kevin Smith's unique reality show set in his comic book store, The Secret Stash that is managed by Walt Flanagan, a long time friend, comic collector & enthusiast.

These cool guys, all Kevin's friends: Walt Flanagan, Mike Zapcic, Bryan Johnson, and Ming Chen get together "podcast style" to talk about who came into the store that week and the conversations are like eaves dropping on your funniest friends in high school while playing a game of quarters in the basement.

Sure, it's reality TV, so the show's creator and executive producers arrange for some big hitters to make appearances to bring a cohesive punch to the show's theme of comic books and action heroes/heroines. It's always someone to conjure up fond memories of super heroes past. The show is also a little bit of "Antiques Roadshow" as regular ol folks bring in their rare and prized comic books, action hero figure collectables to sell or buy. But for me, someone that isn't into comic books and collectables, it's about funny smack talk between a group of guys whose ringleader is one of the funniest comics on the planet while imparting throwbacks to all things we 40ish+ people loved as kids.

This season kicks off with a visit from the late 70's/80's iconic The Hulk, as we know is Incredible, Lou Ferrigno. He comes to pay a visit (arranged by Kevin Smith) to Bryan Johnson, a friend and regular fixture at the store. The Hulk challenges Bryan to get his relatively large buttocks in shape.

I like this show, and I'm a woman, and since I'm a guy's gal, I really dig it. I appreciate comedians like Kevin Smith as they are some of the most intelligent people on the planet. I also am lucky to be part of the team who does the sound design and post production mixing for the Comic Book Men show, Creative Audio Post. I look forward to seeing the episodes in house as our team works on them, and whether you are man, woman, or child, they are well worth the watch. I don't know of any show on TV like it, and the show is super creative!
