Shia Wisdom Website Officially Launches

ShiaWisdom.org. website of a non-profit educational organization aiming to promote a better understanding of Shia Islam and Muslims has officially launched. The site has also released a report on major events of 2014 in the Muslim world.

The released report includes fair and non-biased incidents that occurred in 2014 relating to Muslims and the Islamic world and their impact on the globe. In addition to the events of 2014, the report also concludes some aspirations and expectations of the upcoming year 2015.

Arbaeen 2014

Shia Wisdom had also earlier reported that the Attendance of Arbaeen events. Arbaeen is a Shia pilgrimage to Shrine of Imam Hussein and his companions in Karbala, Iraq. Hussein is grandson of prophet of Islam, Muhammad. He and his companions were killed at hands of Muslim rulers back in their time for standing up for justice. Since then Shia Muslims and other Muslims who love and respect Hussein have been attending his shrine in Karbala, Iraq each year to remember him and his companions. After fall of Saddam, many restrictions on were removed hence each year more people have been visiting the shrine of Hussein. This year, the number of those attending exceeded 22 million despite ISIS threats making the event to be the world’s largest pilgrimage.

But I had personally attended the Arbaeen events last year and I am not at all surprised by reported numbers because last year I personally saw millions of people attending the event. “ says Ali Reza, the webmaster of the website.
