In France, because of the pandemic, the Hästens store was closed last month. The Swedish mattress manufacturer wanted to spruce up its retail show with an eye-catching concept to remind customers of the Hästens experience while also getting creative.

To complement the bed and its well-recognized blue check pattern, which has become deeply tied with the brand, Boerjesson spent the time to fully appreciate what Haestens represents and used a Tamerlan headboard. A series of Maseiro lamps crafted by hand also accentuated the bed, further confirming Haestens' long-standing practice of making its beds carefully and fully by hand using the talents of skilled artisans.
