Wapner Newman Announces Two New Partners

PHILADELPHIA, PA, January 15, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Wapner Newman Brecher & Miller announced today that two associate attorneys, Samuel A. Anyan, Jr. and Jarad L. Silverstein, have been promoted to partner.

Samuel A. Anyan, Jr. became an associate at Wapner Newman in February 2010. Prior to joining Wapner Newman, Mr. Anyan served as a law clerk to the Honorable Lisette Shirdan-Harris, in the First Judicial District of Pennsylvania. He subsequently was employed as an attorney at Allstate insurance company, as well as at Campbell Trial Lawyers, a prominent products liability boutique firm.

In 2018, Mr. Anyan was elected as the Regional III Director for the National Bar Association for the second consecutive year. Region III includes the Garden State Bar Association in New Jersey, Philadelphia Barristers' Association in Pennsylvania and the Delaware Barristers Association in Delaware. During his tenure he built close relationships with lawyers across the area. He has been recognized in Philadelphia Magazine as a Rising Star and in The Best Lawyers in America© for Personal Injury Litigation – Plaintiffs.

Sam Anyan represents clients in Pennsylvania and New Jersey who have been injured due to defective products, motor vehicle accidents, medical malpractice, premises liability and construction site accidents.

Jarad L. Silverstein joined Wapner Newman in 2017. He began his legal career as judicial law clerk to the Honorable Karen L. Suter in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Burlington County, Law Division.

Mr. Silverstein then spent over eight years as a medical malpractice defense attorney with Parker McCay P.A. in Mount Laurel, New Jersey, where he represented major hospital systems, physicians, physician assistants, nurses and other medical professionals. He brought this experience to Wapner Newman. His current practice is advocating on behalf of victims of medical negligence and defective products in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

From 2014-2016, Mr. Silverstein served on the Board of Directors of the Camden County Regional Chamber of Commerce. He has given lectures to other attorneys and presented several Continuing Legal Education (CLE) courses on relevant issues arising in medical malpractice litigation. Mr. Silverstein currently serves as a Judge Pro Tempore for the First Judicial District, Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia County, mediating cases on the Major Case Jury Civil docket in addition to his active case load representing people who have suffered injuries due to medical malpractice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

In addition to his contributions to the local and legal communities, Mr. Silverstein has been recognized in the Philadelphia Magazine as a Rising Star.
