GRUPO TELEVISA ANNOUNCES IT RECEIVED
COFECO APPROVAL FOR POTENTIAL TRANSACTION
Mexico City, February 12, 2010 - Grupo Televisa, S.A.B.
(“Televisa”; NYSE:TV; BMV:TLEVISA CPO) today announced that Mexico's antitrust
commission, COFECO, approved yesterday its application for a possible minority
investment in the Mexican operations of NII Holdings, Inc. (“NII Holdings”). At
this moment, an agreement between Televisa and NII Holdings has not been signed,
nor can Televisa provide assurances that a transaction will take
place.
This report is being made by Televisa solely for the purpose
of advising investors that the COFECO announcement was made. Televisa does not
express any opinion on, or make any comment with respect to, the matters
addressed in or the potential transaction discussed in the COFECO announcement
and does not undertake any obligation to do so in the future other than as
required by law.
