A 16-year-old Student has Launched Teacheasy AI to Reduce Teachers’ Workload

A 16-year-old Dubai-based student, Neev Goenka, has come up with an innovative educational technology initiative, launching a website, "TeachEasy.ai" aimed at alleviating teachers' workload through the use of generative AI. 

"I started TeachEasy to provide real-time AI assistance to teachers, helping them manage their tasks more efficiently and reduce burnout," the GEMS Wellington International student told media in an online interaction.

Goenka chose to focus on education because of his passion for creating change in his school community. "I have always admired my teachers and wanted to give back. Especially after observing the challenges faced by educators, particularly during the pandemic and, then, recently, during exam periods. Helping them through technology seemed like the perfect way," he said. 

He had initially been working primarily singlehandedly on the website. However, as his project scaled, more people joined his cause: "I started collaborating with a designer and consulted my computer science teacher whenever I needed technical guidance. We reached out to local educators and administrators to gather insights on their pain points. Their feedback was invaluable in shaping the platform over several iterations," he said.

One of the standout features of TeachEasy is its ability to integrate with existing educational platforms, making it easier for teachers to adopt the tools without disrupting their current workflows. It also continuously adds new features and works with educational institutions to ensure the tools meet their needs. Within a month of its launch, TeachEasy attracted 5,000 visitors and, incredibly, saw 2,200 teachers and 100+ schools signing up.
