Heather Arthur selected as Empowered Woman of the Year by IAOTP

Heather Arthur, Founder and Chief Engagement Officer of More Good Humans was recently chosen to receive the Empowered Woman of the Year Award for 2023 given by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP). Her exemplary role as a female entrepreneur and talented professional displays her influence, capability, and proficiency.

Heather Arthur knows what it takes to build winning teams, drive performance, and build leaders so they can positively impact the world. With a career that spans over 26 years in technology and communications, Heather has been instrumental in driving change and performance for large sales and service teams across Canada. 

Throughout her executive career, Heather has witnessed firsthand that one of the biggest factors in any organization’s long-term success is focusing on the people and the leaders within. In her most recent business venture called More Good Humans, Heather’s goal as founder and Chief Engagement Officer is to help organizations around the world activate the talent within and show organizations that their biggest assets are already on the team.

With over twenty-six years of professional experience as a successful executive, Heather has certainly proven herself as an extraordinary professional and expert in operations, customer satisfaction, communications, and leading large organizational teams to double-digit growth.  

Her impressive repertoire of previous roles includes beginning her career in Telecommunications in 1996 as Manager of technical support and quickly moving up the leadership ranks to support over 2500 employees across Canada as Vice President of Operations for Rogers Communications Inc. Furthermore, Heather fulfilled the role of Master Facilitator for Lead Without Title Global Inc. for 4 years and was the elected Director of the Brampton Board of Trade for 3 years. In her most recent project as Director and Podcast Host for Corporate Connections, Heather interviews business owners on their values, successes, and leadership lessons connecting Leaders around the world to learn from each other. 

Before embarking on her current career path, Heather attended Seneca College where she earned her Diploma in Biological/Chemical Research. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Management with Honors from the University of Phoenix in 2009. Heather became a certified NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming Practitioner) and completed her training in 2011. To increase her knowledge and capabilities, Heather attended the Cable Executive Management Program at Harvard Business School for Executive Education. Heather is a dedicated lifelong learner and is currently completing her certification as an NCRT (Neuro-axiological cognitive remodeling technology) practitioner with Axiogenics. This training will add a new set of coaching tools to her extensive toolbox and allow her to help others go even deeper below the surface to help people raise to their A-game.  

Heather is recognized as an outstanding mentor and coach and her ultimate goal is to unlock the boundless creativity within organizations and to activate the leader in all of us. As a certified neuro-linguistics practitioner and trainer Heather has guided hundreds of individuals through workshops around the world, making it possible for participants to achieve their highest potential in life and in business. Heather is known to be a passionate, hands-on executive and a fan of breaking rules or at least bending them a little bit. She is often seen sitting at work with her supergirl cape on, planning bold and exciting new ideas to help others uncover their own superpowers. 

Throughout her illustrious career, Heather has received awards, and accolades and has been recognized as an active member of her community for her outstanding leadership and commitment as a proficient executive. Heather was selected as Top Vice President of the year (2020) in Communications by (IAOTP) for outstanding leadership and commitment to the industry. IAOTP is considering Heather for an exclusive interview on TIP Radio, and she is also being considered for a New York City, Times Square Billboard broadcast in the Spring of 2023. 

In addition to her successful career, Heather has devoted her time and contributed so much of her business know-how to helping others. Heather’s community efforts include being a member of the Greater Toronto Contact Centre (GTACC) community where she is seen as an outstanding contributor and leader, always willing to lend a hand to support local charities such as the Toronto Food Bank, Room to Read, local women’s shelters or collecting backpacks with school supplies. Heather is also a volunteer with Million Dollar Smiles, a charity that builds playgrounds and brings bears and hugs to children with life-threatening illnesses. 

Looking back, Heather attributes her success to her perseverance, high-energy, curious spirit and her passion for leadership. One of her daily goals is to positively impact at least five people a day for the rest of her life and show others the ripple effect they can create by doing the same. When not swimming with sharks, walking on fire or driving race cars, you can find Heather relaxing at home in Toronto, Canada. In the future, she hopes to assist in unlocking boundless creativity within organizations and to activate the leader in all of us.
